Reconnect with your body, your breath, with yourself.
Our busy lives often leave little time for us to prioritize our health and wellness. This retreat will help you destress and feel nurtured from the inside out. Both gentle and active yoga practices, time for hiking or massages and delicious, nourishing food will bring a sense of inner peace and renewal. Four days dedicated to self care will help you slow down and develop a positive connection to yourself on a deep level.
The daily yoga practices, meditation and pranayama, delicious organic meals and beautiful natural surroundings are all there to support you during your time here. My intention is for you to leave the retreat balanced, refreshed and with the tools to help you stay on track and support your self-care and a healthy lifestyle.
Men, women, and all experience levels welcome. This retreat is designed to be accessible to all with modifications and variations offered as needed.

Meet Your Teacher, Karen
As a driven and over-worked business owner, I tried yoga to help relieve stress and regain strength and flexibility. I never looked back and sold my company to dedicate my career to inspiring others to prioritize their health, wellbeing and stress relief through yoga.
I completed my yoga teacher training in Thailand, am certified by Yoga Alliance 500 RYT, and regularly attend continued professional development in philosophy, anatomy, pranayama (breathing) and meditation. I specialize in teaching private clients and continue to work closely with a private yoga teacher mentor.
My background as a professional ballet dancer, teacher and business owner plus being a wife, mother of 3 sons and living in a foreign country all contribute to my strengths as a teacher, allowing me to help clients that are looking for a way to integrate balance into their busy lives.

What others are saying about working with Karen.
“I wanted to get back on track in life, start doing yoga again even with my busy life in between working and family life.
It truly was an eye opener for me that I need to use, move and nourish my body! That I could feel with all my body and soul that I had been really missing yoga and the wellness that it provides to body, mind and spirit.
This experience with Karen is what we busy professional mothers are in need of for daily support for our body, mind and spirit – yoga, meditation and deep caring!”
Marian Nielson Joos
“Having Karen as your teacher is gold. As an online entrepreneur, I’m almost superglued to my computer. The result is pain. Everywhere! My neck, my arms, wrists, back. I can feel it getting worse at the end of each project.
What makes this experience with Karen completely different from all the other yoga I have done is how simple and effective it is and yet truly deep and loving. Thank you so much Karen for being such a patient, caring, expert teacher, this was more special to me than I can explain.”
Esther de Charon de Saint Germain
“I honestly feel that you led me to take control of my life once again, empowered me in the most subtle and gentle ways to come to the conclusion that I am worth it and I can shine my light so much brighter with others if I start taking better care of myself.
I am now on towards better health and the tough realisation that I needed to change many of my old habits and create some healthier new ones.
So thank you again from the bottom of my heart for your brilliant teachings and care.”
“Karen has a very personal and authentic teaching style. She is supportive and genuinely focussed on helping you to progressively improve through the classes. Her yoga classes were recommended to me to help me recover from long weeks of travel and working away from home and the associated jet lag and tiredness that I felt. I have definitely felt a better sense of balance between the demands of my working and family life and my own personal life. I also feel that I more easily leave the stresses related to my work during the week and that I can better enjoy the weekend with my family. Finally, I feel that physically I am stronger, fitter and more resilient. I recommend it highly.”
“Karen is a wonderful teacher. She motivates and helps you understand your own training. I was looking to find a moment where I could focus and improve getting more out of my yoga practice. I was surprised how quickly I improved and with that I had more energy. I felt much better after each session. I had walked around for a couple of years with problems in my hip and back which disappeared after doing yoga. Karen is calm but enthusiastic. She radiates a genuine interest in her students well being and their individual progress.”

Frequently Asked Questions
I’m Not Flexible Can I Still Participate?
Definitely! This retreat is for everyone, and one of the many benefits of the practice is learning how to gain greater flexibility and ease in the body as well as relieving head, neck and back strain from repetitive motion and your sedentary work environment.
I Have Pre-Existing Pain and/or Injuries, Can I Still Practice?
Yoga and Mindful Movement practices are often advised to those dealing with pain or healing from injuries. However, please be sure to receive your doctor’s permission to begin any new physical activity. It is essential you tell me if you’re experiencing pain or recovering from any injuries, so I can help guide you through a safe practice.
What Do I Need to Wear?
Comfortable clothing that allows your body freedom to move. We practice without shoes.
Do I Need a Yoga Mat?
Yoga mats will be available to use during the retreat free of charge. However, I recommend purchasing your own yoga mat. This will help you stay accountable, build your confidence and make progress so that you can practice after the retreat has finished. Any other yoga props required during class (e.g. blocks, cushions and blankets) will be provided by the retreat centre.
Should I Eat or Drink Before I Practice?
Try not to eat anything heavy before you practice. It will make breathing and your movements that much easier on an empty stomach. Try to avoid drinking during practice.
