Exposing Yoga Myth No.6 of 8

Fill in the gap: I’m too __________ for yoga.
What’s your excuse? Too old/busy/overweight/inflexible/shy/nervous/unfit/ill/injured/stressed/pregnant? Other?
Forget the images you’ve come across of beautiful, young, slim, white women in exotic locations posing in seemingly impossible poses. That is not yoga.
On a recent trip to New York, I came across a yoga studio that claimed it attracted a strong following of college students and young professionals. Not for me then? It made me wonder how important was it for the studio to have students that would make the studio look good/trendy/cool? Was this to have more value than yoga itself? Since when was yoga exclusive?
Yoga is for every body regardless of age, body type, fitness level, stress level and personal health.
It is your body, your breath, your journey – your yoga. No one else’s. You should be able to practise in a safe, nurturing, supportive environment with no judgement and where you can feel welcome and at ease.
Take that step and find your place. Let me also gift you with a free gentle 10 min yoga practice you can do at home or away. Simply click here >> http://bit.ly/10minuyoga
