We’re being called to a deeper level of connection and trust during these uncertain times. Not to go numb. Not to tune out. But to stay engaged. This retreat is centered around supporting you in developing awareness in your practice, taking the breaks you need and caring for yourself so you can resource and replenish from a boundless well within.

When we trust ourselves to slow down, stillness, silence and breath will become our refuge, while somatic gentle movement, energising yoga practices and quiet meditation will be the foundation for change. From there we can reach out to each other and open our eyes to see what we couldn’t see before.

You’ll have the time and space to reflect, rediscover what you value most and let go of what no longer serves you.  The wisdom of yoga and the natural beauty of nature will help you feel grounded, building stability in your body and clarity in your mind.

My intention is for you to leave the retreat balanced, refreshed and with the self-care tools to help you stay on track and support your physical, mental and emotional health as we approach the colder months and busy holiday season.

Men, women and all experience levels welcome. Previous knowledge of yoga is recommended, although not conditional. This retreat is designed to be accessible with modifications and variations offered as needed.

Blausee Hotel and Spa is quietly situated on the banks of a small romantic and pretty forest lake with beautiful shades of crystal clear blue.

Surrounded by a small nature park and the majestic backdrop of the Bernese Alps, Blausee has charmed locals and travellers since 1885 and been praised as a “scenic gem of magical forest solitude”.

The retreat offers individually styled rooms, cosy open fireplaces, a spa area with sauna, steam grotto as well as outdoor areas with whirlpool and hot tub garden. The restaurant serves regional vegetarian cuisine and the evening menu is selected from ‘GaultMillau’ 13 POINTS CERTIFIED KITCHEN”

As a driven and over-worked business owner, I tried yoga to help relieve stress and regain strength and flexibility. I never looked back and sold my company to dedicate my career to inspiring others to prioritize their health, well-being and stress relief through yoga.

Since 2014 I have completed 1100+ hour yoga teachers training at Centered Yoga, Samahita in Thailand, am certified by Yoga Alliance RYT 500 and regularly attend continued professional development in philosophy, anatomy, movement including alignment and somatic practices, pranayama (breath work) and meditation. I specialize in teaching private clients as well as offer coaching, holistic immersion programmes and lead retreats.

In 2020, I became a certified Integral Facilitator through Ten Directions Integral Facilitation Program led by Diane Musho Hamilton, a master facilitator, mediator and Zen Roshi. The training combined leading insights from the fields of developmental psychology and Zen awareness together in an Integral approach has had a profound effect on the way I connect to the world around me and approach my work and life.

I’m currently studying a Mastery program with Suzanne Anderson, psychologist, author, executive coach and transformational facilitator having completed her 15-month in-depth integral leadership development program for women in December 2022. This deep work explores the powerful evolutionary capacity for women to live, love and lead with a whole new level of consciousness and leadership capacity.

My background as a professional ballet dancer, teacher and business owner plus being a mother of 3 sons and living in a foreign country all contribute to my strengths as a teacher, allowing me to help clients who are looking for a way to integrate their whole beings and awaken to their innate wisdom, courage and potential.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’m Not Flexible Can I Still Participate?

Definitely! This retreat is for everyone, and one of the many benefits of the practice is learning how to gain greater flexibility and ease in the body as well as relieving head, neck and back strain from repetitive motion and your sedentary work environment.

I Have Pre-Existing Pain and/or Injuries, Can I Still Practice?

Yoga and Mindful Movement practices are often advised to those dealing with pain or healing from injuries. However, please be sure to receive your doctor’s permission to begin any new physical activity. It is essential you tell me if you’re experiencing pain or recovering from any injuries, so I can help guide you through a safe practice.

What Do I Need to Wear?

Comfortable clothing that allows your body freedom to move. We practice without shoes.  

Do I Need a Yoga Mat?

Please bring your own yoga mat and 2 yoga blocks or I recommend purchasing them. This will help you stay accountable, build your confidence and make progress so that you can practice after the retreat has finished. If you have any other favourite yoga props (e.g. cushion, blankets, bolster) that will help you feel more comfortable please bring these as well. Straps will be provided by the teacher.

Should I Eat or Drink Before I Practice?

Try not to eat anything heavy before you practice. It will make breathing and your movements that much easier on an empty stomach. Try to avoid drinking during practice.
